Breads from Creative Cities

ASPAN – Artisanal Bakers from the Bergamo Province

The Idea

The Association of artisan bakers of Bergamo’s province (ASPAN), supported by the Creative Knowledge Foundation (CK Foundation) and Bergamo UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, adheres to the international initiative “Breads of the Creative Cities” and its national project “Panettieri d’Italia – Breads from Creative Cities”.  The main objective of this project is: “to preserve and hand on the traditions linked to the typical bread of one’s community, allowing the rediscovery of ancient flavors, enhancing the supply chain and all the actors who are part of it and building a digital resource accessible to all “.
With the aim of enhancing its members, ASPAN invites all bakers (but also supply chain actors such as farmers and millers) to join the project and tell their story through digital storytelling.
